Blackheath Fireworks 2014 will take place on Saturday 1 November at 8pm. Food and drink will be available from 5pm and the funfair will open from 4pm.
Whilst there are no admission charges to this fantastic event, there are a number of costs involved in welcoming visitors from all over London and beyond. Show your support and keep the fireworks a highlight in south east London.
Remember to be respectful to local residents whilst at the event
Travel to and from Blackheath on the night
The best way to get to Blackheath is by public transport. (I actually walk from Lewisham)
Transport for London (TfL) will provide the latest and most up to date information.
The map shows the nearest rail stations. Bus routes to Blackheath include 53, 54, 386, 380, 202, 108 and 89.
A number of roads are closed during the display and parking is extremely difficult. Details of the road closures and timings are in the document below.
Do not take your dog to Blackheath during the fireworks. It is very noisy and the general advice is to keep all pets indoors at this time of year.
It is illegal to take any fireworks – including sparklers and sky lanterns – onto the heath.
